Wow, last week really got away from me with so much going on, mostly baseball stuff.
1. My brother could use lots of prayers and good thoughts. He is an amazing runner and is unable to run at this time due to some passing out issues. Well the passing out issues aren't really what's keeping him from running, it's his heart. His heart itself is really healthy, but he only has 1 coronary artery. Because of this his one is enlarged and cutting off blood vessels around it, which is what causes athletes to drop dead with no apparent reason. He is going to have an MRI on Monday and then the surgeon and doctors will meet to discuss what they can do. Hopefully they will be able to do surgery, if not his running career is over. I don't even want to think about that. As much as I hate running, he loves it. All this was discovered because he was passing out while running. That was due to lack of salt and fluids, easy fixes.
2. Dart could use some good thoughts and prayers on Wednesday. He will be having his tonsils out. He has never had major issues with sore throat or anything like that, however his tonsils are HUGE!! Like almost touching huge. He has some crazy issues with snoring and deep sleep, but not good deep sleep. His tonsils have also caused some issues with acid reflux. I'm sure all will be well with him, but the thoughts are appreciated.
3. We are done with baseball. Well kind of, October 30th is tryouts for the spring team, but other than that we are done until at least January. Yes, January, we will begin practicing nice and early. We should have a pretty good team from here on out. The boys showed massive improvements from the beginning of the season. We finished off the season with a parents vs players game. We had a BLAST!
4. Mizzou is 5-0 after a 26-0 win over Colorado. Good Bye Buffaloes, enjoy the Pac 10!
5. Wednesday we were given tickets to go watch MU/Nebraska play volleyball. We had a great time. Audrey was even on the news, although I missed it. Boo! Tonight on the news they showed a clip from a video done by a group of students at MU for the volleyball team. You can see it here
6. Working on lots of projects at once. A friend asked me to make some Thanksgiving goodies for her MOPS group Silent Auction. My best friend is hosting an open house at her house in a couple of weeks for women who have their own business. There will be a couple of jewelry people there, a Tastefully Simple demonstrator, a bath and body type person and me. Very excited about this adventure.
7. Working on cutting pop out of my daily life. Did really good this last week, stuck with 1 maybe 2 a day, much better than the amount I was drinking. Hoping to keep it up, although this week will be interesting with spending Wednesday at the hospital. Going to try my best.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Will be back tomorrow with my Make it Monday list. Lots on the list for this week and the next several weeks.

7 on Sunday
So I have lots of things I want to feature on 7 on Sunday, but don't have the energy for all the links this week, so it's going to be a random 7 on Sunday.
1. I LOVE seeing all the football players, coaches, and refs in pink. Such an awesome thing for them to do for breast cancer research.
2. I have been cutting way back on pop and drinking more water. Love how I'm feeling. Although I haven't completely cut pop out, I'm working towards that. Down to about 1 or 2 a day, and some days I don't have any.
3. My aunt and cousin went skydiving today. My aunt turns 50 later this month and said this was on her bucket list so she did it! They both said they had a blast and are ready to go again. Very surprised my cousin did it. He is not the most exercisy(yes, I know this is not a word), outdoorsy type of person.
4. Excited that I have pictures being delivered tomorrow. Ordered over $30 worth of pictures and paid $10 for them. Love getting a good deal.
5. Looks like my Chiefs are going to be the only undefeated team left in the NFL! How crazy is that. Hope they are ready for the Colts next week, especially since the Colts got beat today.
6. Looking forward to a much quieter week. Only have 2 baseball games, a pre-op appointment for Dart and possibly a parents vs. boys baseball game to celebrate the end of the season.
7. Could use some good thoughts for my brother, that we get answers to some tests that were ran on him last week.

Stampede Saturday!!
We did it! We had a very successful Stallion Stampede. I'm worn out though. This year we changed things up regarding our teacher event. Every year we have the kids bring in their change during the week leading up to the Stampede. The top 4 teachers then participate in whatever the event is. The last 3 years it has been "Kiss the Pig", although last year it was a guinea pig instead of a real pig. This year we decided we needed something new. That new was a "So You Think Your Teacher Can Race?" event. We rented 4 "trikes" and the top 4 rode around the loop. Our top 4 ended up being our Principal, Mrs. Weaver, Mrs. Blume(1st grade), Mrs. Floyd(Kindergarten), who is Audrey's teacher and Miss Hassemer(3rd grade), who is Dart's teacher and also happened to run a half marathon this morning. They were all great sports about this, even dressing up.
Just before take off. Mrs. Weaver in the lead. I love that they all did something a bit different.
The kids LOVED the teacher race. They followed them all around the track, even giving those who needed it a bit of help.
I'm worn out tonight, but the creative ideas are churning. Now that the Stampede is over, my attention can go other places and I'm excited. I'm excited that the Holiday's are just around the corner. I also have my best friends birthday coming up and I am working on figuring out something great for her gift. She's had some issues with her house and isn't going to be able to see her nephews graduate from boot camp because of the issues, so I want to come up with something AMAZING. Oh and she is such an amazing friend. She is Dart's other mom.
I will be back tomorrow with 7 on Sunday. I have several things I want to feature, just need to decide on the theme for this week.

Wordy Wednesday and a Picture
"Everyday may not be a good day, but there's something good in every day!" Author Unknown
This is a crazy week and I need this quote to remind myself that although it seems like life is crazy there is something good even when I think may day is going bad.
My friend took the following picture and I played with it in Photoshop Elements. Love my sweet(although she got in trouble at school today for not finishing her work and drawing on the floor) girl.

Make it Monday
So I totally missed this last week and am pretty shocked I'm doing it this week.
Most of my stuff for this week is going to involve school projects.
50 cards for PTA, to thank people for coming to our meeting
Get through week and Stampede(fall festival, this is going to take most of my energy this week)
Some Christmas photo card samples.
Edit pictures(took a break for a while and reconnected with PSE and realized how much I love it)
3 sets of Christmas cards
photo of Halloween card set and post on etsy
Make more Halloween card sets
Halloween tags
Halloween banner
Get out Halloween decorations.
What are you making or doing this week?
Take some time to enjoy the weather, hopefully it will be as gorgeous as what ours is supposed to be.

7 on Sunday
Okay, it's really going to be 9 on Sunday in honor of this guy:
My sweet boy is 9 today, so I'm going to do 9 things about him.
1. LOVES baseball more than most anything in the world.
2. Loves and is extremely good at Math. So much it scares me.
3. Is covered in scrapes and bumps and bruises. Including the ones on his face. He decided to kiss the sidewalk.
4. Misses his sister Dakota every single day of his life and is not shy about talking about her.
5. Thinks his Uncle Jake and Bubba Byron are the greatest people in the world.
6. Is really a good brother to his sister Audrey. Although she drives him crazy most of the time, he will protect her like crazy if needed(and it's going to be needed as she gets older).
7. Has a major sweet tooth. There is not a day that goes by that he does not want dessert.
8. Is EXTREMELY competitive. Is constantly setting goals and doing whatever he has to, to reach those goals. He sets goals for pretty much everything in his life.
9. Has NO FEAR of getting up in front of the entire school and speaking. Thanks in part to "The Leader in Me" which is a program his school started doing last year. It is a school based version of "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People."
Dart, no matter how big you get you will always be my baby boy. Hope you had the best birthday ever! Enjoy every piece of your pumpkin roll cake you eat.
In other news I finally got some more items added to my etsy shop. If you are looking for handmade cards especially please take a look. Pink Owl Crafts and Design
If I can make it through this week I will be happy. This Saturday is the Stallion Stampede at Dart and Audrey's school. It is our biggest fundraiser of the year. I'm hoping to get all my volunteers set in the next day or so. Wish me luck!!

Must get through....
This coming week. October 2nd is the BIG fundraiser at Dart and Audrey's school and I am co-chair of the committee as well as volunteer coordinator for it. Working like crazy to get volunteers arranged. Also working on getting volunteers for teachers to help with folders, copies, etc, and also working on room parent coordinating. Good thing I love coordinating.
Working on a few things in between for fun. Got a ton of stuff ready to go in my etsy shop, just need to get the pictures edited and descriptions done.
Kids had no school today and I had grand plans of getting a lot of this done, but we went and picked apples for the Buddy Packs at their school and then had to go handle the Sam's Club card for PTA also. By the time we got all that done and got stuff for dinner all I've done is work on room parent stuff.
Dart took a face first dive into the sidewalk earlier tonight. He's sporting a nice fat lip. Wonder how it will look for his birthday on Sunday. Can't believe my baby boy is going to be 9 in just a couple of days.
I am hoping to be back tomorrow for a few things, but if not I'm under a pile of papers I'm sure. Posting next week will be very scarce I'm sure, but maybe I can find a few minutes this weekend to pre-write some posts and schedule them to go up. Off to get caught up on all my tv shows I've missed this week with PTA and baseball. Glee is first on my list!
